In the House...

A young red-shouldered hawk who was found on ground took a little R&R at All Creatures Great & Small Wildlife Center. The little bird appeared healthy, although was a bit underweight. The hawk was re-nested by Suzanne Shoemaker, of Owl Moon Raptor Center.

A juvenile Northern Flicker was also found on the ground, sadly along with two dead nest mates. The Flicker is thriving, and we look forward to his reintroduction in the future.

UPDATE: The Flicker was moved to a release cage on 29 June 2014!
